Parted asked me to send in a bug report with this message: Assertion ((C * heads + H) * sectors + S == A) at ../../libparted/disk_dos.c:586 in function probe_partition_for_geom() failed.
This happened when I typed the command "p". The version number is 1.6.21. This copy of Parted was on a Debian 3.1 CD. I had booted the CD to install Debian on an old laptop, and was going to shrink the FAT32 partition that occupied the whole disk.
