This is in reference to the above bugzilla entry.
I created a volume group called 'devel' on a old 10GB hard-drive, and
added 2 logical volumes, each 12MB and having a ext3 filesystem, to
it. This hardrive (/dev/hdb) contains nothing else except the logical
volumes. However running parted on /dev/hdb says:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# parted /dev/hdb
GNU Parted 1.7.1
Using /dev/hdb
Welcome to GNU Parted! Type 'help' to view a list of commands.
(parted) print
Error: Unable to open /dev/hdb - unrecognised disk label.
(parted) quit
Information: Don't forget to update /etc/fstab, if necessary.
Can you show the output of
fdisk -l /dev/hdb
please? Can you point out the steps you did in creating the LVM stuff?
All the best,
Leslie
