Looks like you were reading a PC98 disk label at the time of this, is that correct?

ubuntu 8.10
trying qtparted against an iomega usb disk (250Gb).

QTParted is actually a separate project from parted:

http://qtparted.sourceforge.net/

So you should probably report this bug to the project developers directly. That said, I think there's a good chance that you could reproduce this using a recent parted version on your system.

If you are able to test with a recent parted (1.8.* or a build from the git repository) and post the results that would be useful.

Regards,
Bryn.
