I am running KDE Pclinuxos on a live usb stick.  When attempting to upgrade the
kernel I received this at the beginning of the process:

While installing package kernel-2.6.38.8-pclos3.bfs-1-1pclos2011:

While installing package kernel-devel-2.6.38.8-pclos3.bfs-1-1pclos2011:

-------- Uninstall Beginning --------
Module:  sn9c20x
Version: 20100330-1pclos2010
Kernel:  2.6.33.5-pclos1.bfs (i586)
-------------------------------------

libparted0 is listed in Synaptic as 2.3-1pclos2010. Parted is listed as not
installed.

Both kernel-2.6.33.5-pclos1.bfs-1-1pclos2010 and
kernel-2.6.38.8-pclos3.bfs-1-1pclos2011 are marked as installed. However, when
I reboot 2.6.33.5 is reported as the version loading.

If you need any other info, please provide detailed directions as how to obtain
it.

If I need to upgrade libparted0 beyond the version in Synaptic, please provide
detailed directions as how to do this.

When this bug is resolved, please provide detailed instructions as how to
resolve my kernel upgrade process.

Thanks in anticipation and for everyone's hard work.

Cheers,
David
