I am running KDE Pclinuxos on a live usb stick. When attempting to upgrade the kernel I received this at the beginning of the process:

However, when I reboot 2.6.33.5 is reported as the version loading. If you need any other info, please provide detailed directions as how to obtain it. If I need to upgrade libparted0 beyond the version in Synaptic,please provide detailed directions as how to do this.
