Hello from France.
This is related to the RefPerSys <http://refpersys.org/> open source
inference engine (GPLv3+) project on github
<https://github.com/RefPerSys/RefPerSys/> developed on
Linux/Debian/x86-64/trixie.
*Is there some GNU readline-8.2 API to preset the buffer?*
Our make config rules are using a /readline/ enhanced
do-configure-refpersys.c program which asks questions like C++ compiler:
by calling our my_readline
<https://github.com/RefPerSys/RefPerSys/blob/e621d162f03867701ca3020ee7b08126aa1f6b42/do-configure-refpersys.c#L257>
function which calls readline
In many cases we could guess a suitable default answer. For example if
the file /usr/bin/g++ exists it could be the default answer for that
question asking for the default C++ compiler.
Thanks for reading.
Regards from near Paris in France.
