I am running version 2.0 as well and this is what I see. I don't see
your behavior. (It works for me. :-)

It is possible that your OS vendor may have done something unusual.
You might try compiling the released version yourself available at:
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/sh-utils/sh-utils-2.0.tar.gz
You might also try compiling the newest test release available in the
following directory. Currently this is 2.0g but could be different in
the future.
