Hi. I run a DEC Digital P/C 5510 (Pentium II, 330mhz) with Redhat 6.1 Linux.
System runs well, but "date" reports a wrong system date, several hours
behind actual system date. I can set date, and it is ok for a day or
two, but then loses time badly. But I notice that when I reboot, to
check CMOS settings (via F2 at reboot time), I see that the correct
date is being reported by the BIOS system. Very strange, very nasty, and
very serious, as timestamp of files are wrong, and network operation
will be affected.

Also, I tried to report this to bugzilla, but it blew up when I tried to
get a password (login screen appeared, I entered my email address, and pressed
the "Email me a Password" button bar, and bugzilla screen reported the
following:

-------------------- screen capture from bugzilla screen -------------------
Software error:

select cryptpassword from profiles where login_name = '[EMAIL PROTECTED]':
Table
'bugs.profiles' doesn't exist at globals.pl line 61.

For help, please send mail to the webmaster ([EMAIL PROTECTED]), giving
this error message and the time and date of the error.

Nothing works lately, I am noticing. Seems to be a delayed Y2K thing,
or something... My trades all blew up bad, my new project fell through,
and my date said last nite, after dinner, "I don't want to be in a
relationship and I don't want any intimacy with anyone...". Hmmmm.

Any suggestion as to how to get my linux-box to tell time correctly,
would at least be something. Thx. - M. Langdon, [EMAIL PROTECTED]
