Hello
I have a little problem using GNU tar to create a multi-volume archive on Win32.
This is what I try to do
D:\Games\Sims>"\SoftwareStorage\System Tools\bzip2-104-x86-win32.exe"
--compress --stdout --best The_Sims_2_Multilanguage_DVD.iso "(0) The
Sims.iso" | tar --create --tape-length=716800 --file=Sims2
and this is what I get:
tar: Invalid tape length
Try `tar --help' for more information.
bzip2-104-x86-win32.exe: I/O or other error, bailing out. Possible
reason follows.
bzip2-104-x86-win32.exe: Invalid argument
Input file = The_Sims_2_Multilanguage_DVD.iso, output file = (stdout)
bzip2-104-x86-win32.exe: WARNING: some files have not been processed:
bzip2-104-x86-win32.exe: 2 specified on command line, 1 not processed yet.
I have GNU tar 1.13. Do you know what the problem is ? I also tried a
number of variations on the command, with the same response from tar:
Invalid type length.
Thank you,
Timothy Madden
