I had to use different systems to create the files. The tar11325.tar file was created on a system booted from a Knoppix Live CD, the tar116_gnu.tar was created on my workstation. I used USB stick to transfer the data (which I had archived with tar before) between the systems. I guess the permissions/ownership was changed when I untarred the archive on the target system. -- Ciao, Sebastian
