Hi All,

I am Vijeya Aravindan working in India. I have a query regarding the GNU
Tar.exe in this e-mail and would very appreciate a response to this
e-mail.
We are using the Tar.exe of the following license in one of our
applications. We are using the Tar.exe with the following license:

This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it

later version.

Documentation and Source code for TAR are available at:

<http://www.gnu.org/directory/tar.html>

We are facing problems when we have a file of greater than 2.0 GB in the
directory which we are trying to TAR. Hence, we use a method to split
the file during the Tar process into chunks of 1 GB and during the
Extraction process, we join these splitted files. We feel that this is
not a very smooth process.

Can you please let us know if this has been fixed lately or any work
around to over come this issue?
Also please feel free to forward this email to the respective mailer
aliases/folks.

Thank you very much,
Vijeya
