Hi I am looking for tar command output kinds. for example what mean if I get "tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now" or "EOF".
Is there any table that show tar output and meaning of them? I found something in Sybex Linux system administration book : Unfortunately, the tar command won't allow you to compress a multi-volume backup.
