fyi IBM released IBM XL C/C++ v12.1 Fixpack 8 for AIX which allow to build tar 1.27.1 on AIX 7.1 TL2 SP3 without the workaround/patch described on http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-tar/2014-01/msg00010.html
