As described in GNU tar manual, section 6.3 "Reading Names > from a File" That is not exactly what I mean. Under "expected behaviour" I mean the inability to achieve the desired result by just placing "--add-file" (without quotes) on a first line and "-b b" (without quotes) on the following line as if each line is considered as exactly a single command line argument (and no word split is performed).
