Hi

I have ./configure; make and make chech all work fine but when I go to
finish the compile ie make install it comes up with these errors:

mkdir /usr/local/man/man1
/usr/bin/install -c -m 644 ./info.1 /usr/local/man/man1/info.1
/usr/bin/install -c -m 644 ./install-info.1

/usr/bin/install -c -m 644 ./info.5 /usr/local/man/man5/info.5

Being relatively new to linux and especially tex I don't know what it wants
me to do?

I sure am going through a lot of problems just to get a theme manager to
work "sawmill". First after I type sawmill in at the prompt it comes up with

"Sawmill: error in loading shared libraries, Libgmp.so.2: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory."

So I need to install gmp. When I type make install for it an error comes up
saying
"Install-info: unknown option '--dir-file=/usr/local/info/dir'
usage:install-info [--version][--help][--debug][--max width=nnn][--section
regexptitle][--infodir=xxx][--align=nnn][--calign=nnn][--quiet][--menuentry=xxx][--info-dir][--keep

old][--description=xxx][--test][--remove][--] filename
make:*** [install-info-files] Error.

Now I need to somehow switch install-info programs between the Corel
(debian) dpkg package and the one it's expecting ie GNU texinfo's
install-info. How do I do that? do I uninstall dpkg?

Surely it musn't be that hard to put a theme manager sawmill on Corel Linux
1. I'm also using a celeron 466.

Thanks for looking at my errors.
