output of true 8-bit

I'd like to cooperate in the 

- Support output of true 8-bit characters from accent commands, etc.

item at TODO file. Since I'm a spanish speaker user of Texinfo, I'd
like to see my accents in my info files and dvi-info-generated
files. To do this, I've got a few ideas, but I'd like some more
information.
