Hi.
This is possibly being reported twice, but just in case here it goes:
David A Capello has found out that a texi file with accentuated a vowels
is not converted properly to it's info version: the dos makeinfo
translates those vowels to spaces. Strangely enough it only happens with
'a' vowels, others seem to reach the final info version.
The versions used to try this was 4.0, as reported by both info and
makeinfo. I am attaching an excerpt of the correct texi file and the
converted info file, where there aren't any á characters. I can provide
you with the full texi version if neccessary. One example of the bug can
be found in the seventh chapter title, where it should say "Modos
gráficos".
This strange behaviour doesn't happen with the linux version of the tools,
which produce/display correctly all range of spanish characters (AFAIK),
of course, with a different texi source file in another codepage.
