What can I say?
You can say that POSIX will stop making gratuitious incompatibilities
with features that are 25 years old and that the whole world depends on!
Losing egrep is even worse than deprecating cp -r. What are they
thinking? This is not moving forwards, they're taking giant steps backwards.
Don't they have anything better to do with their time?
Well, I know these things are not under your control, so you can't say it :).
But it is sad.
Even if the POSIX committee continues to be this irrational, I don't
think GNU should give in to them.
Anyway.
Thanks,
k
