To write portable texinfo files I think it is better to use e.g. @'e
instead of . Unfortunately, this currently has the drawback that it
isn't displayed optimally in info files. Is there a way to have
makeinfo convert @'e back to , using a specific output encoding? I
couldn't find a way how to do that.
