It's been a couple of years since I've thought about automatically
generating man pages from texinfo files, but when looking through the
recent NEWS file, I noticed version 4.1 has:

. ANSI escape sequences (as produced by groff) removed from man output
by default; use --raw-escapes to let them through if your terminal
    supports them.

However, info --help doesn't tell me how to get this man output.
(Actually, I notice that info also doesn't list --usage which suggests
that it's not generally expected to be complete)

One of the problems we've been having recent with the Debian glibc
package is that people refer to out-of-date man pages. It would be nice
if we could generate man pages for all of the C library functions
automatically somehow.

Is there now enough man page support that I could consider submitting
patches for the glibc texinfo manual?

Tks,
Jeff Bailey
