Thankfully, it's fairly easy to fix, so I won't repost the
entire patch. Take the following line in my definition of
\suppressfirstparagraphindent:
> + \global\everypar = {}
and change it to read
> + \global\everypar = {}%
Notice how I completely forgot to comment out the whitespace. *sigh*
