I don't see section names ever appearing in the header, either for
regular sections or for appendix sections.  As I recall, I removed the
@thissection command from Texinfo because it wasn't implemented
correctly and was difficult to fix (and of doubtful utility).

Maybe I'm misunderstanding ... if you can send me a sample document
exhibiting the problem, I'll check further.
