Hmm, this is strange, very strange. Do you have some experience with
locales? What could be wrong with this function:
char *
getdocumenttext (const char *msgid)
{
char *save_locale;
char *s;
save_locale = setlocale(LC_ALL, NULL);
setlocale(LC_ALL, interface_language);
s = gettext(msgid);
setlocale(LC_ALL, save_locale);
return(s);
}
First, do you have LC_ALL set?
It might be that if LC_ALL is not set, the second call to setlocale does
something what I didn't want to.
Can you try the following:
LC_ALL=de_DE makeinfo ..whatevery you do...
and see if the error messages are still in english?
