Hello, I have committed changes that make standalone info correctly output multybyte characters. It is the first set of changes aimed to implement full multibyte support. This version correclty outputs nodes using multibyte encodings, provided that LC_ALL is set appropriately (e.g. viewing Laszlo's ooeva.info with LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8 works OK). ANSI escape sequences (-R option) and info tags are handled no matter what encoding is being used.
Laszlo, please give it a try. If you have difficulties checking out or bootstrapping the CVS version, let me know and I will make a tarball for you. Regards, Sergey
