Thanks for the patch. I've fetched texinfo.tex from ftp://tug.org/tex/ . Here are the results. Now ogoneks' font is quite similar to the rest (but not the same, take a close look). Moreover there's eogonek instead of aogonek all over the PDF. Capitals are fine, though. I've also observed that in the PDF index all diacritics have been removed.
