Indeed, but, in that case, if the end of line after @noindent was to be taken into account, the result wouldn't have had a new line. Also the following: Begin para @noindent after noindent. gives: Begin para after noindent. (and also in TeX). So it doesn't necessarily begin a paragraph, at least as it is now. -- Pat
