No idea :-) I only see an incompatible change in texinfo.tex, for
whatever reasons. Unfortunately, I haven't yet found a solution which
gives the same result (this is, producing `\foo' in the index,
whatever the macro argument is) with the old and the new texinfo.tex
version.
Do you know one?
