Details:
Hi Sergey - I noticed that Emacs now has a command Info-virtual-index, bound
to I by default, which produces a list of index matches. It would be good for
standalone Info to follow suit, in the fullness of time.
For example, on the Info manual itself, doing Info-virtual-index on the term
"search" brings up a dynamically-generated node that looks like this:
File: /usr/local/gnu/info/info, Node: *Index for `search'*, Up: *Index*
Info Virtual Index
******************
Index entries that match `search':
* Menu:
* Info-isearch-search [Index]: Emacs Info Variables.
* Info-search [Index]: Search Text.
* isearch [Index]: Search Text.
* searching Info documents [Index]: Search Text.
* searching Info indices [Index]: Search Index.
