Need failing code please, the basic idea certainly works for me. There
is nothing special about commas in an example environment, or anywhere
except when parsing arguments.
This code, for example fails to display a comma: \input texinfo @setfilename foo.info @settitle GNU Foo @comment %**end of header @node A Little Example @chapter A Little Example Here it is @example This line, contains a comma But the comma doesn't appear in the dvi @end example @bye $ texi2dvi --version texi2dvi (GNU Texinfo 4.13) 1.135 I do see whitespace where the comma ought to be. Maybe this is a problem with my TeX installation. I don't know.
