To clarify, I wasn't proposing that using an @-command in @errormsg
would break anything. Well, @errormsg breaks the document build
anyway. It would emit a warning instead and the error message wouldn't
be output the same as before. It wouldn't stop documentation from
building if it worked before.

I like the idea of testing all the Texinfo documents in Debian; is
there some easy way of getting them all?

Is this Texinfo 5.0 you refer to or more recent?
