In tp/Texinfo/MiscXS/lib/Makefile? That is a generated file, so that can't be the right fix. I tried creating a distribution file (with "make dist") and making a VPATH build (make build ; cd build ; ../configure), but it worked for me. Can you send the error messages you get when you run "make"?
