Info itself is rather obscure I think. Excepting Emacs users, most people just stick with man pages (single-page, colorful, familiar keys, zero-effort, daily use), which is a shame since Info is a far superior system. I always meant to learn to use Info, but only got around to it recently. I played around with the keys and commands and in the process unearthed the bugs. I think find-menu is actually useful, visit-menu less so. I mostly keep the default keybindings, although some customization is necessary. I think Info could be slightly more colorful, adding support for styling the “pointers” top line, the bottom “mode line”, and chapter/section headers, for example. I guess these are done already in Emacs Info mode. They are not necessary, of course. I like Info. Thanks to y’all for maintaining and developing the program.
