I do not have an easy access to the tree, as it is in the CI. If I get
the libtexinfo.dll.a file in an archive to GNU/Linux, do you know if nm
from GNU/Linux will read the libtexinfo.dll.a file symbols/information
correctly?
Unlikely, because GNU/Linux uses a different binary format (ELF). I
assumed that you could run commands in that tree.
While Linux does indeed use an entirely different format, in my
experience the distribution do usually build the GNU binutils with the
somewhat wider, default collection of supported formats, including
Window-style PE object files and executables.
"objdump -i" documents what the installed tools support. 64-bit Cygwin
is "pe-x86-64", 32-bit should be pe-i386.
