L.S.,

I've used cat to concatenate about 130 html-files into one big
html-file. All the files were of more or less the same size.
The resulting file is about 800Kb.

I found out that in this process some lines at the end of some files were
lost. I tried to reproduce the exact same result, but there was no
consistency in the lines left out.

The files are plain ascii and fractions of one big html-file splitted
by a perlscript. The mother file was produced by mswordview, some sed and
perl filters and tidy. Concatenating the fractions should result in the
same file as the one that was splitted.

I'm running Linux 2.2.14 on a dual pentium II with 128MB RAM. I have never
experienced any problem whatsoever with my (file)system.

I'm aware that this bugreport is kind of lame, but I'm not a C programmer
so I can't be more specific about what went on in cat or something like
that. If you need more information, please feel free to contact me.

Greetings,

Maarten
