BTW, textutils-1.14 is almost six(!) years old.
Why on earth are you using (not to mention taking
the time to report bugs in) that version?
Long story however I did reproduce the (non-)problem with 2.0 before
reporting it for 1.14.
Thanks for clarifying the spec. Yes, I mis-read it.
The other point I was missing was that for "-k a[,b]", when ",b" is
omitted, it defaults to the end of line. Me read good now.
