I wrote the initial NTLM code for wget, based on what I had already written for libcurl. Since then, the libcurl code has evolved and we've fixed several flaws within the actual NTLM functions that wget too may suffer from. I've not actually compared the code to check this myself.
Anyway, perhaps it is a better idea to swich the NTLM magic over to something like libntlm? http://josefsson.org/libntlm/ It is LGPL'ed.
