 Hi, wget team:
 :)

 From de manual:

 ‘-nd’
 ‘--no-directories’
Do not create a hierarchy of directories when retrieving recursively. With
this option turned on, all files will get saved to the current directory,
without clobbering (if a name shows up more than once, the filenames will get
extensions ‘.n’).

This behavior has no problem for the power user as he can use awk, perl or a
program to mass rename the downloads to its original extensions.
For the casual user it does, because mass renaming is an aditional pass, an
many of them simply will not be able.

 If making this change:
(if a name shows up more than once, the filenames will get PREFIX ‘n.’).
It will not make great difference to the power user and will make goodness to
the newbies.
