Hi! I am planning to propose a project for the GSoC involving wget. The project proposal consists of adding metalink support to wget, starting from the ability to interpret the fundamental information as single HTTP and FTP links, and hash information. Hopefully, if I will be able to finish the vital features' support, I might try to add support for some of the rest of the features like piece hashes, etc.
However, as this project idea is mine, it is not listed on GNU's GSoC ideas page [0]. Thus, I am advised to contact with wget maintainers and developers via this mailing list and look for an available developer that might mentor me. So, is there anyone who is available throughout the timeline of GSoC [1] and willing to mentor me? Hope to hear from anyone interested, as soon as possible.
