Hello, We have observed plenty of malicious sites (malware/phishing) which abuse compromised servers by tampering with their error page settings via injected .htaccess files.
Problem: It seems that currently wget (Wget 1.11.4 Red Hat) cannot retrieve the source code of such 404 pages while some other web clients can. Example (will give malicious URL inbetween </HEAD> and <BODY> ): wget hxxp://tokyogal.jp/unexisting curl, lynx etc. will show the page source - wget not :/ Personally I do love wget but only this one part makes it impossible to use for automated takedown request which concern sites like the above one.
