The NEWS file in wget 1.14 says: ** socks library is now supported (thanks to Antonio Rosella <[email protected]>). Configure with --with-socks.
but the configure file doesn't have a --with-socks, and nowhere in the code is socks mentioned? Can someone clarify this? Is socks supported? Can wget use an external program to like connect-proxy to use a socks proxy?
