I would personally avoid to add other protocols (such as IMAP/POP3) to
wget and maintain only HTTP/HTTPS/FTP.  I am afraid that not many people
will use it, as there are already other cli tools to deal with these
protocols, and we will end up with maintaining more code.

In any case, if you have a clear idea on how to proceed with this
project, I suggest anyway to send a proposal.
