Issues other than uc_width have been fixed by master.
Sorry for not being specific enough about uc_width. It is used by
rpl_wcwidth:

Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64:

_rpl_wcwidth in libgnu.a(wcwidth.o)
ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture x86_64
wcwidth replacement is used because
checking whether wcwidth works reasonably in UTF-8 locales... no
