But they ship a version of wget (with or without libpsl support). If you want a newer version of wget, you also have to build all (or at least some) dependencies in their latest versions. With a bit of experience this is very easy. But you can also build wget without libpsl: ./configure --without-libpsl ... You really need libpsl only for cookie checking. But if you work without cookies enabled, you are save without it.
