Hello,
I'm using version 4.2.7 of xboard and it looks like there is a bug in it.
The following sequence of tasks generates a core dump and the program
terminates:
1) Mode menu -> Edit Postion
2) Right click -> clear board
3) Insert a WHITE piece (except a pawn) in any square
4) Go to Mode menu -> Edit Game
5) Crash!
The
same happens if you try to insert 2 white pawns in step 3 above. I got
into this because I was inserting a diagram into the program and it
crashed. After some troubleshooting I ended up with this sequence.
Here is my system information:
$ uname -a
Linux localhost 2.6.17-5mdv #1 SMP Wed Sep 13 14:32:31 EDT 2006 i686 Intel(R)
Celeron(R) M processor 1.70GHz
GNU/Linux
I'm running Mandriva 2007 distribution.
