Hi,

Same thing happened to me.
However this looked like a transient bug.
Resynching with head OpenEmbedded and rebuilding everything as Cesar said fixed
the issue.

Cheers,

Fabien

There is some way that someone can get the mysql root password @openmoko.com! I
don't want to explain here how, because there isn't a "security issue" button
and eventually somebody can read it and do some damage (as this bugzilla is
public). Please, let me know how to report this properly.

Thanks,

Allow to read negative currents

This patch is not completely related to this bug, but I did not want to create
a new one.
Currently, if AC is off-line, the current reading is wrong. As the battery is
dis-charging, the result should be negative and indicate the amount of current
that is currently drawn by the platform.
This trivial patch allows to report negative current in order to know the power
consumption of the platform.

Patch submitted for bug #193 can also apply to this one. It allows to read
negative values for chgcur, meaning the drawn current from the battery (if the
measurement is located directly at the battery.)

Sometimes we move files from packages and rename packages. This is inevitable
during the development phase (getting packaging right is tough...). The proper
way to deal with this right now is:

ipkg remove libmokojournal2 --force-depends
ipkg install libmokojournal2-0

[This e-mail has been automatically generated.]

You have one or more bugs assigned to you in the Bugzilla
bugsystem (http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/) that require
attention.

All of these bugs are in the NEW state, and have not been touched
in 7 days or more. You need to take a look at them, and
decide on an initial action.

Generally, this means one of three things:

(1) You decide this bug is really quick to deal with (like, it's INVALID),
and so you get rid of it immediately.
(2) You decide the bug doesn't belong to you, and you reassign it to someone
else. (Hint: if you don't know who to reassign it to, make sure that
the Component field seems reasonable, and then use the "Reassign bug to
    owner of selected component" option.)
(3) You decide the bug belongs to you, but you can't solve it this moment.
Just use the "Accept bug" command.

To get a list of all NEW bugs, you can use this URL (bookmark it if you like!):

http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&[EMAIL
PROTECTED]

Or, you can use the general query page, at
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/query.cgi.

Appended below are the individual URLs to get to all of your NEW bugs that
haven't been touched for a week or more.

You will get this message once a day until you've dealt with these bugs!

           Summary: battemp values obviously bogus
           Product: OpenMoko
           Version: current svn head
          Platform: Neo1973
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: kernel
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
                CC: [email protected]

The battemp value (on
/sys/devices/platform/s3c2410-i2c/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-0008) starts at -10, and
slowly climbs (currently it's at 9-10, connected to the USB host the whole
time). The values are obviously bogus if interpreted as °C; the ambient
temperature is at least 20°C, and the battery was not stored in a freezer
before
being put on the phone.

The comments on
/home/cesarb/scratch/src/openmoko/openmoko/trunk/src/target/kernel/patches/gta01-pcf50606.patch
imply the value should be on °C; it's also possible that the comments are
bogus,
and the temperature unit is something else (if that's the case, converting to
°C
or Kelvin would be useful).
