Summary: Charging stops even while connected
Product: OpenMoko
Version: unspecified
Platform: Neo1973
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: openmoko-panel-battery
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
CC: [email protected]
With recent snapshots of OpenMoko builds I have noticed that even though the USB
cable is plugged in, and the computer turned on, the charge symbol changes from
"Plugged In" to "Battery".
At first I thought it was just a failure of showing the symbol correctly, but
after leaving the Neo for a while, I found that it did in fact run on the
battery which eventually discharged.
I noticed it first with the qtopia-4.3.1-snapshot-1127.tgz release, but also
later with
OpenMoko-celtune-monster-image-glibc-ipk-P1-Snapshot-20080103-fic-gta01.rootfs.tar
and
http://buildhost.automated.it/OM2007.2/OpenMoko-scaredycat-openmoko-devel-image-glibc-ipk-P1-Snapshot-20080103-fic-gta01.rootfs.jffs2
When unplugging and re-plugging the USB cable the Neo starts charging again.
I haven't seen a specific pattern or time cycles to when it logically unplugs
the USB charging.
Even though it doesn't charge, the network connection seems to be up.
The kernel is:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -a
Linux fic-gta01 2.6.22.5-moko11 #1 PREEMPT Sat Nov 10 17:12:24 GMT 2007 armv4tl
unknown
Uboot is:
u-boot-gta01bv4-1.3.0+git20071201+svnr3484-r0.bin

Summary: Build of libipkg doesn't install libipkg.pc into

Product: OpenMoko
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW

Trying to build OM using
http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Host-based_development_with_Xoo_and_Xephyr, the
install of libipkg doesn't put the .pc file into the correct directory. It's
left on the ipkg-0.99.163 dir.
I use PKG_CONFIG_PATH=xxx and others libs (jana, gsmd, etc.) install the files
into ${PKG_CONFIG_PATH}/lib/pkgconfig/

reworked Xglamo randr support patch
This Xglamo patch adds support for changing the resolution to switch between
qvga and vga. You can do so by doing:
DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --output default --mode 240x320
or
DISPLAY=:0 xrand --ouptut default --mode 480x640
Once the resolution is changed, rotation still works.
This patch actually hits the LCM controller to set the resolution. Actually
this should be done by the framebuffer driver. I guess this will happen in a
later patchset.
This patch supersedes patch #471.

You have one or more bugs assigned to you in the Bugzilla
bugsystem (http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/) that require
attention.
All of these bugs are in the NEW state, and have not been touched
in 7 days or more. You need to take a look at them, and
decide on an initial action.
Generally, this means one of three things:
(1) You decide this bug is really quick to deal with (like, it's INVALID),
and so you get rid of it immediately.
(2) You decide the bug doesn't belong to you, and you reassign it to someone
else. (Hint: if you don't know who to reassign it to, make sure that
the Component field seems reasonable, and then use the "Reassign bug to
owner of selected component" option.)
(3) You decide the bug belongs to you, but you can't solve it this moment.
Just use the "Accept bug" command.
To get a list of all NEW bugs, you can use this URL (bookmark it if you like!):
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&[EMAIL
PROTECTED]
Or, you can use the general query page, at
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/query.cgi.
Appended below are the individual URLs to get to all of your NEW bugs that
haven't been touched for a week or more.
You will get this message once a day until you've dealt with these bugs!
