Comment(by zecke):
Everything we have for ASU (OE files, source code, ..., discussions) is
public, the image is not and this is unlikely to change until an official
release.
It is a difficult struggle. If we start releasing ASU images on the
buildhost, even if they are just for testing, people will take them as
official. Start blogging, reviewing, complain on things that are still
Work In Progress. And one can easily create a negative perception... So
with making it a bit harder to get it installed we avoid this issue. On
the other hand we also exclude testers that could provide valuable
feedback (like testing SMS in different networks/regions, I still would
like to see the PDU of that message...)
So I do not know if that way is the best one, it at least has a reasoning.
Comments appreciated, or let us continue the thread on the community
mailinglist... no idea what is best.

Yes, that is the place where we rsync the result of the daily build to.
See the following git commit on the asu branch:

Comment:
Closing this as WORKSFORSOME as people building the asu.stable branch will
not see the issue, people using the above mentioned feed can upgrade their
Qtopia and stay up-to-date with the mentioned feed. If you do not think
this is the right resolution feel free to reopen it.

Yes.
That message should say:
ERROR: Please connect to a network.
and please make sure that text should be bold, 'ERROR' should be all caps,
just like other alerts.

Good. Wait until the connection failure is confirmed, then send an alert
message 'ERROR: Package download failed'
You should already have that alert somewhere.
You say let user wait a long time.. how long? and what are they waiting
for? Is Installer asking for a connection the whole time?

Comment(by kenrestivo):
You can close this. I'm on the correct feed now, and the keyboard does pop
up. I also downloaded the custom .edj file to bring the "qwerty" button
back, so that I can turn the keyboard on and off at will.
Nice work!

#1669: File not found errors when running gpe-gallery

I installed gpe-gallery from opkg today, and tried to run the program from
the main application menu.
When run, multiple error boxes pop up reporting that some files are not
found.
Each message looks like this:
Failed to open file '/usr/share/pixmaps//open.png': No such file or
directory
The full list of missing files which there were messages for:
/usr/share/pixmaps//open.png
/usr/share/pixmaps//left.png
/usr/share/pixmaps//right.png
/usr/share/pixmaps//list-view.png
/usr/share/pixmaps//icon-view.png
/usr/share/pixmaps//ok.png
/usr/share/pixmaps//cancel.png
/usr/share/pixmaps//stop.png
/usr/share/pixmaps//question.png
/usr/share/pixmaps//error.png
I tried running find to see if they were in some other directory, but they
do not appear to be anywhere.

Tested with the image below:
kernel:20080723-asu.stable-uImage.bin
root file system:20080725-asu.stable-rootfs.jffs2
ring tone changed, and in this image the tone is not "shaking"
close this bug, thank you!
