 Like in my previous 2 bugs, PulseAudio listens for TCP without any need by
 default (why would an OpenMoko by default be a remote audio server).

 This improves security and reduces battery usage.

 I hope your proposed security-related improvements get taken seriously.
 Not running everything as root will be nice as well.

 Added an oscillating GTA02 to
 http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/GSM_network_registration#Results_table.
 The unregistered reports do not always start at turn on, but once started
 they don't seem to stop.
 I sent a mail to support "Debian GTA02 How to get python logs, messages
 etc?" and a samp le to Mickey L. Today I just turned it on and let it run
 for 10 hours. It unregistered about every 2 minutes..Running Debian.

 Sorry I don't follow how to make it pick up that file,

 There is no way to disable the screen locking and such on Zhone. This
 would be nice to have, cause I'm using xscreensaver. I'm also trying to
 debug why zhone seems to kill frameworkd and then the screen is just black
 and won't snap out of it again, so this issue is a little critical.

 I'm on debian, running XFCE

 upgrade to OM2008.8 or at least get the latest Xglamo installed.

 I thought http://buildhost.openmoko.org/daily-feed/armv4t/ would hold the
 most recent version but apparently it's not - it holds the version
 reported in the original post. I know OM is working on the feed issue
 (testing/stable/unstable) so eventually a "proper" version will be
 available through a feed. I guess this bug can be closed?

Comment(by stiell):

 It looks like the problem is in
 [http://docs.openmoko.org/trac/browser/trunk/src/target/OM-2007.2/applications
 /openmoko-dialer2/src/phone-kit/moko-sms.c?rev=4260#L290 moko-sms.c,
 function on_incoming_sms]. It assumes ALPHABET_DEFAULT means "7-bit ASCII
 message" instead of the GSM 7 bit default alphabet. Although I'm not a C
 developer, I would try to make a patch, but I don't have the development
 environment set up.

Comment(by tick):

 Hi Odlg,
   Sorry I cannot setup google calendar SMS service in Taiwan now. (Google
 not support yet. (Though it say yes, but I cannot find yet.))

 Is your content of SMS also wrong (I cannot read Latin), or just sender
 field wrong?

 For sender part you can find from [3Gpp TS 23.040 9.1.2.3]
 The SMS from google show 040DD0 <- D == 1101 -> 101 is the type of
 message. It's Alphanumber, (Coded according to [3GPP TS 23.038 6.2.1]
 GSM 7-bit default alphabet)
 Alphanumber, Unknow plan

 For the SMS avanc provide which works is 040C91 in which shows:
 International number, ISDN/telephone numbering plan.

 Yes, it is not implemented in qmodemsmsreader.cpp , I'll dealing with
 this.

 Cheers,
 Tick

 I have the attached script on my phone, called pf (for Phone ofF) to turn
 off the GSM modem.

 When I run the script and shortly press the power button to suspend, I am
 unable to resume again. I have been able to reproduce it a couple of times
 before I decided not to use this script at the moment :-)

 I use OM2008.8 with Zecke's testing feed. opkg list_installed says:
 kernel - 2:2.6.24+git75965+cb3cc53a76c7f1f7c827d048db7a849e77071515-r1.01
