#1946: gtk+ and tangogps
---------------------------------------------------+------------------------
Reporter: odlg | Owner:
openmoko-kernel
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: high | Milestone: Om2008.9
Component: System Software | Version:
Om2008.9-dev
Severity: blocker | Resolution:
Keywords: gtk gtk+ gtk+-fastscaling tangogps | Blockedby:
Reproducible: always | Blocking:
---------------------------------------------------+------------------------
Comment(by Ebbe):
An ugly way to fix this, is to "minimize" the program by going to home,
and then switch back to the gtk-program. Then the program "knows" to
redraw the screen.
Navit and openmoko-terminal2 is also affected by this bug.

Comment(by Niko!):
Hi!
I used mokomakefile with "make openmoko-qtopia-x11-image". Thanks to Aiua
for suggestion, it seems that qtopia configure script search automatically
in /opt/toolchains for the compiler. I renamed /opt/toolchains and just
now i'm building qtopia-phone-x11, the configure phase passed so i think
the problem is solved, but some patches are required to avoid this and
having the OE and QtopiaSDK coexisting on the same host.

Replying to [comment:10 TreviƱo]:

volume...
True, I just discovered this as well. Incresing one of the playback
parameters fixes this, but then the feedback might return ...

#1967: [kernel]after stable to testing upgrade image and modules not in sync
-------------------------------+--------------------------------------------
Reporter: vnevoa | Owner: julian_chu
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: highest | Milestone:
Component: Distro | Version: Om2008.9-dev
Severity: blocker | Resolution:
Keywords: kernel modules | Blockedby:
Reproducible: always | Blocking:
-------------------------------+--------------------------------------------
Comment(by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
From what I understand (i.e. not much), it seems that:
The new kernel package of the ".dev" branch in the "testing" repository
should be marked as conflicting with the old module packages of the
".stable" branch in the "Om2008.8" and "Om2008.8-updates" repositories.
So that upgrading the kernel uninstalls the old module packages.
Another solution: the old module packages should require the old kernel,
so that when the kernel is replaced, the modules have to go too ?
In any case, let me know what to write in the wiki. Is it that in the new
release the modules are included in the kernel package ? Or is it that
they are compiled in ?
Thanks

Well. org.openmoko.dev (testing and unstable:
- Should be build with BB_GIT_CLONE_FOR_SRCREV = "1"
- and the kernel should have PACKAGE_ARCH of neo1973 too..
but this is just one of the many issues that need to be fixed for the
Om2008.9 to org.openmoko.dev upgrade path.

#1972: Wifi interferes with Bluetooth
---------------------+------------------------------------------------------
Reporter: Mercury | Owner: openmoko-devel
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: normal | Milestone:
Component: unknown | Version:
Severity: normal | Keywords: bluetooth, wifi, interference, a2dp
Blockedby: | Reproducible:
Blocking: |
---------------------+------------------------------------------------------
== Issue ==
Bluetooth and wifi don't seem to coexist. There are lag issues with
bluetooth when using wifi.
== Reproducing ==
1) Listen to something with A2DP headphones (I imagine any other high
bandwidth bluetooth activity will experience the same problem, but this is
what I was testing with)
2) Start up wifi, and run opkg update (Once again, I'm sure any other high
bandwidth wifi activity will experience the same problem)
3) Notice that the sound gets choppy, and stops when you're done
downloading.
== Software ==
* Latest update from unstable feed
* opkg list_installed attached
