Comment(by lindi):

 With your patch I was able to do multiple suspends without any crashes
 (without those extra sleeps). I am now testing stable-tracking (with gta02
 -moredrivers-defconfig) which afaik has that patch too so I'll report back
 if I see xglamo freezing on resume again.

 I installed the daily build testing-om-gta02-20081125.rootfs.tar.gz onto
 my SD card.

 The bootup hangs after the message "Starting portmap daemon
 portmapportmap: fork: no such device"

 I was also getting messages about tar being unable to write to a read-only
 file system.

 It looks like S03udev is trying to write to the root filesystem but it is
 still mounted read-only. It doesn't get remounted till S10checkroot.sh

 When I renamed S10checkroot.sh to S01checkroot.sh I was able to boot the
 phone (but this may not not be the correct fix)

 cat /etc/angstrom-version

 This is on a gta02.

Comment(by andy):

 Great... you're better off with stable-tracking for suspend issues overall
 for sure.

 FWIW Graeme is making full xorg solution for glamo

 http://git.openmoko.org/?p=xglamo.git;a=shortlog;h=xora/xorg-driver

 it's intended this will rewrite and fix the worst issues in there.
