Kernel: testing-om-gta02-20081202.uImage.bin
rootfs: openmoko-testing-om-gta02.rootfs.jffs2 (2008.Dec.02)
Don't know how, but the problem has been fixed. Even i open the Messages
when the device just booted and did not get signal yet.

if it's gonna happen in new kernel, we did not see that in Dec.02's image
yet.

Still happen with this problem, it just never wake up. Leave it as open
until we really get it in testing phones.

Comment(by andy):
Hello Wendy - this issue was marked by Matt as fixed in stable-tracking,
it means that it is meant to be solved in the new 2.6.28 kernels that will
replace the current stable ones based on 2.6.24.
I really think you need to start testing with the 2.6.28 ones, because for
some weeks we no longer really do work on the 2.6.24 branch.
I will talk to John Lee and see if we can get packages made for it if we
don't already so you can test with it easily.

#2165: gtk layout differences between 2007.2 and 2008.testing
-------------------------+--------------------------------------------------
Reporter: iknowjoseph | Owner: openmoko-devel
Type: defect | Status: new

Component: unknown | Version: unspecified
Severity: normal | Keywords: gtk, cacao,
Haspatch: 0 | Blockedby:

Our application: http://gvsigmobileonopenmoko.wordpress.com
Displayed fine on 2007.2 running:
cacao: 0.98+hg20071001-r8
classpath-common: 0.97.2-r5
classpath: 0.97.2-r5
classpath-gtk: 0.97.2-r5
But fails to display properly on the latest 2008.testing with:
cacao: 0.99.3-r5.1
classpath-common: 0.97.2-r8.1
classpath: 0.97.2-r8.1
classpath-gtk: 0.97.2-r8.1
Most noticeable differences include the failure to draw the splash screen
correctly (is drawn centrally on 2007.2 and in the top left of the screen
on 2008) and any pop-up dialogues (in 2008 they often needlessly take up
the entire width of the screen. The open file dialogue in 2007.2 is shown
as two boxes, one on top of the other, whereas in 2008 they are squashed
next to one another).
Upgrading cacao and classpath on the 2007.2 installation broke our
application in a similar manner.
Almost identical problems were suffered when running the application with
JamVM. The gvSIG application is available to anyone who would like to
conduct testing.

#2166: USB keyboard breaks after suspend.
----------------------+-----------------------------------------------------
Reporter: lysgaard | Owner: openmoko-devel

Severity: normal | Keywords: usb keyboard suspend resume

If you plug in an USB keyboard after boot, without suspending in forehand,
it works as expected. dmesg reports a new full speed usb hid device etc.
However, if you suspend, it breaks the usb driver or something. No
reaction in dmesg what so ever.
How to replicate:
1# boot
2# change to usb host
3# plug in keyboard, -It works.
4# reboot
5# change to usb host
6# suspend and resume
7# plug in keyboard, -Noting happens.
This has effected every distribution and kernel I've tried:
FSO M1/2/3/4, OM 2007, ASU, 2008.8/9
I really need to use a keyboard so this is kinda crucial for me.
Extract of dmesg:
soc-audio soc-audio: starting resume work
soc-audio soc-audio: resume work completed
usb0: no IPv6 routers present
s3c2410: changing usb to host
#Here i plug in the keyboard, nothing happens (This would be step 7 in the
descr. above.)
s3c2410: changing usb to device
usb0: no IPv6 routers present

#1841: white screen of death (WSOD) after resume

Comment(by nelg):
I have been using the kernel from daily/testing for the last 2 days, with
suspends overnight for both the 2008.9 testing build, and qt extended,
with kernel modules copied from the 2009.9 testing build.
Since using this, have had no WSOD's. Occasional resumes have failed,
with just a black screen, but in general, it's a lot better than before,
and most resumes work fine, even from suspended overnight.
